Okay. Let’s talk about prom.
Prom is something I don’t quite understand. I don’t understand why we pay so much money for things. I don’t understand why I can’t wear my blue and green sparkly prom dress from prom last year whenever the heck I want and not get judged. I don’t understand why parents take a million gazillion pictures of the same shot. I DON’T UNDERSTAND!
One thing I decided to do this year was get a little spray on tan from a local tanning store. I had a really bad farmer’s tan and PRO Compression tan from running outside/ being in hot and sunny Moab, Utah, so I thought a little tan wouldn’t hurt to get rid of those lines.
Ha.
First off, the spray was cold and the overall process was awkward for me. I’m a shy person, so I felt super out of place.
Second of all, my legs turned a dark orange today. Not necessarily attractive. So I sat in the tub and SCRUBBED at my skin with some exfoliation stuff for a solid hour. It got a little better, but still orangish. Well hey, at least my legs are nice and soft AND my dress is long. So that’s not so bad.
I can’t even tell you how many people mentioned something about my tan today. Too many.

Overall, the whole “spray tan” thing isn’t such a bad deal. It was cheap and you don’t risk getting skin cancer while you do it.
I probably wouldn’t do it again, due to the rubbed-raw feeling I am getting on my legs.

Prom really isn’t that bad of a deal. I mean, you get to look all sharp and fancy, eat some great steak (well, I do, at least), and you have lots of fun with your friends! My favorite part of prom is the dancing. I’m not good at it, but heck. Who cares when the lights are off!? Taylor is an awkward dancer too. We can be awkwardly dancing tomorrow together.
So hey, if anyone wants to join the awkward dancing party, come on over! We awkward dancers must stick together!
