After we got home, I got ready for workout round 2!

I did, 100 pushups followed by a 2 min rest, then three rounds of 20 jumping jacks, burpees, and squats.. ow.. then I did 60 sit ups at a comfortable pace.

Here is the updated schedule…Ā WOD Indiana.

Here are the pictures of around the house I promised!

The rest of the afternoon (after a long shower) consisted of shopping at the Lighthouse Place in Michigan City, IN. It was a really cool outlet mall with TONS of shops. I tried my best to stay away from the fitness stores (because that’s all I EVER shop for) and stuck to buying “normal people” clothes… I must say, I’m not a fan.

I’m actually really BAD at shopping. Like, really bad. I get overwhelmed with how much there is in stores. And when I try stuff on, I never like ANY of it because I would rather be in sweats.. or comfy stuff.

Or, while I’m in the dressing room, I just think about how hungry I am at the moment (like always.)

What was worse was that I really didn’t eat lunch. I had my breakfast after 10, so when lunch rolled around I was not in the mood for anything.

… the struggle.

On the bright side, my baby cousin Nicole won the cutest and most happiest baby alive.

Would ya look at her? Just look at her.

Road/ Trail Run:

7 miles of pure awesomeness.

Today is our last day in the beautiful Nevada. Okay, well the beautiful mountain part of Nevada. Not the hot desert part.

Today I wanted to take a different route; I wanted to see where the trail actually started. I looked at a map…

"I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map, I'M THE MAP!" *Name that kid's show!

“I’m the map, I’m the map, I’m the map, I’m the map, I’M THE MAP!” *Name that kid’s show!*

… and I found that the other trailhead was 2 miles away from where we are staying! So I hit the road…

"I'm the road, I'm the road, I'm the road, I'm the road, I'M THE ROAD!" *Not in a kid's show*

“I’m the road, I’m the road, I’m the road, I’m the road, I’M THE ROAD!” *Not in a kid’s show*

… and ran the two miles through the beautiful valley! Said “Hello!” to some horses, baby calves, baby sheep, and a llama. Yep. A llama.

When I got to the trailhead, it informed me that I was running on a historical landmark. SCORE!

You go, Martin Luther.

You go, Martin Luther.

There are just so many more trail options at this trailhead! I can’t believe I have never tried it before! I could’ve gone exploring! Oh well. There will be more trips to Nevada!

I ran up to a different trail called “Lonesome Trail.” Lonesome connected to Jobs Peak (the trail that gets me home), so I thought running it would get me some extra mileage!

It's lonesome out here... on Lonesome Trail...

At around mile 5, a stray dog started runnin’ with me. That’s cool and all, but he had an owner because he had a collar on. Every time I would try and look at his tags, he would run away from me, but then come right back as soon as I started running again. What?

"Hey guys! I found Fido! I found Fido you guys!" *Name that YouTube video*

“Hey guys! I found Fido! I found Fido you guys!” *Name that YouTube video*

He finally ditched me at mile 6.

Today on my run, I was supporting my Team In Training Kansas Chapter training jersey, my UnderArmour tights, my short PRO Compression socks, and my BrooksRunning Pure Cadence shoes!

Sorry for the ugly-sweaty face. I know it's attractive.

*If you haven’t seen any of these YouTube videos, you are a deprived child.*

And guess what guys! It’s PhotoBomb Friday!!!!!!!!

I’m still accepting photobombs, so make sure you send them to runningsmallrs@gmail.com!

I’ll post in a few hours!

Until then,

Run on.

Afternoon Trail Walk:

2 miles

Today the Totinator and I Ā drove up to Lake Tahoe to eat lunch! It is about a 20 min drive up a mountain from where we are staying. It’s kinda fun going around the corners. Like a big surprise!

“Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”

– Forrest Gump

For lunch we went to this nummy pizza place. He ordered some cheesy bread and then some kind of single serve pizza delio. I just know it had bacon on it. Lots of bacon.

I ordered a Veggie Baked Sandwich and a side salad. Nom nom nom.Ā

You bet we ate every last bite.

You bet we ate every last bite.

After patting our food babies and asking if anyone else wanted to pat our food babies (strangely, NO ONE did.), we went strolling around the streets of Tahoe!

He blends right in.

Hey, he was pretty attractive! I always love a man in a suit and tie.

We did a little bit of shopping and roaming around like obnoxious tourists, then went back down the mountain to pick up the momma’s from their gamblin’ addiction.

Momma and I went on a walk when we got home and let me tell you folks, it was SO HOT. I was miserable! I was in some leggings and a hoodie and I thought I was going to pass out. I was sweating and I had barely gone a quarter of a mile!

Ah well. Now we are in the cool house hanging out!

View from the couch!

Did I mention I have been having an ongoing conversation with Nike Running on Twitter for most of the day? Ah… well… I HAVE! But you’ll have to go to my RunningSmallRS Twitter account and then FOLLOW it to see. šŸ™‚

I hope everyone had an amazing day! Look at today’s post from earlier to see my run from this morning!

Run on.
