Happy Friday everyone!

Let’s play a quick game. It’s called “Guess What I Did On Wednesday!”

Ok. Here’s a slideshow of pictures of what I did on Wednesday. Let’s see if you can guess what I did.

I also went running in there… TWICE.

I ran 5 miles with Team in Training, and then when I got home I ran 3-4 miles with Lela… at 10:20pm!

My full marathon is in San Diego next weekend! Can someone say OH MY GOSH.

And guess how many miles I’ve gotten in the past week and a half? Close to zero. Yeah. Not good.

I know when it comes to marathon time, I will be okay. Just kinda freakin’ out right now. No big deal. 😦

I guess I’m pretty pumped as well. I mean, I get to spend almost 3 days in Cali. I’ve never been to Cali, so it’s going to be PERFECT! I leave Thursday, stay the night in Wichita, then fly out Friday morning!

I am taking my mom and sister with me. Miranda is taking her momma! We will probably go to the beach, go shopping, and just explore San Diego!

The race is on Sunday. I’ve studied the course and guess what… I GET TO RUN ON THE BEACH! Hopefully it does not require me to run in the sand, or else I will be walking that section.

I guess the headliner for the race is the 80’s band the Psychedelic Furs… Anybody heard of them? No? Okay. Well I had to research them and this is what I found:

“80s English rock band The Psychedelic Furs will headline the finish line concert at Petco Park on Sunday, June 2, following the 26.2 and 13.1-mile block party taking place throughout the streets of America’s Finest City.

Led by vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler, and his bass-wielding brother Tim, the Furs won over fans and critics alike by combining poetic lyrics, innovative rhythms and melodies driven by an aggressive, punk desperation. Through it all, the band scored major hits with “Love My Way,” “Heaven,” “The Ghost In You,” and “Heartbreak Beat.” In 1986, the band recorded a sax-infused version of “Pretty in Pink” for the soundtrack of the film of the same name. Released as a single, it became their biggest hit to that time in the U.S., and their biggest ever UK hit.”

You know what? It’s going to be epic. And who knows, I might pass out by the time I cross the finish line.. So I might be in a hospital while the concert is going on.

Wish me luck!

Run on.
