Running Track:

1mi Run, 2mi Walk

You ready for a big upset and pissed off rant session? If not, then I suggest you go back to your Twitter or Facebook now. Fair warning.

So as many of you know, today near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, two explosions went off. The count now is that 28 people are critically injured and 2 people are dead.

Incase you haven’t heard or don’t care, let me educate you on the horror.

Educated? Ok.

I am so unbelievably confused, upset, and just ticked off. What is our world coming to?

People train all of their lives for the Boston Marathon. It’s kinda like the Super Bowl for runners. It was (and still is) on my bucket list to run this prestigious marathon.

But then some idiot has to go and blow innocent people up. Why? I have no idea. And honestly, I don’t want to hear it. I want to hunt the person down and punch him. And then let all of the families of the runners and bystanders punch him too. And I  know for a fact that I am not the only one who feels this way.

If you saw a tweet you posted, I cropped out your name for security purposes.

I am just praying to God for comfort of the families and those who were injured or killed by the explosions. I am also praying for our country and our world. We need God, yet our country seems to want to strip Him out of our lives. We need to teach our children now about the Greatness of God and His Love before our country turns in on itself.

A cry for healing is among our most urgent prayers. When we are in pain, we can turn to the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, for healing. It doesn’t matter whether we need help in our body or our spirit; God has the power to make us better.

Psalm 147:3
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (NIV)

Isaiah 58:8

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. (NIV)

Run on.
