Jillian Michael’s Yoga Meltdown:

30 min

As you may have noticed, I didn’t take my normal Rest Day! I thought since I had rested Wednesday and Thursday, I could manage a few miles today.

I don’t know how, but I slept in until ONE in the afternoon today! And what’s funny is that I was still tired!

Mom- “Rebekah, you REALLY need to get up.”

Me- “Mom, I REALLY need to sleep.”

… But then I got up… The struggle.

After I got up, I worked on writing an essay for the Kansas State High School Activities Association. The essay is all about how getting involved in activities/ athletics helps students feel a sense of accomplishment and belonging. Really good stuff. My essay is based purely off of personal experiences. It’s a masterpiece. Maybe I will post it up after I present it to the board… maybe.

Good ol’ Mirda came over at 4 and I introduced her to something new… yoga.

About a year ago, I went to Walmart and bought Jillian Michael’s Yoga Meltdown.

It has a Level 1 and a Level 2 workout. We did Level 2, because I felt like it gives more of a challenge! Jillian’s yoga is a hybrid yoga. She uses real yoga poses, but then adds movement to them before the actual holding of a pose to increase your HR. And trust me, it did! We were sweating like CRAZY, breathing hard, and about to die of heat stroke… thanks to my mom’s fire she decided to light because she was cold. Come do yoga, mom. It would heat ya right up.

We got to breathe in some light and energy and whatever… It was pretty neat.

After a few hours of hanging out and watching a marathon of NCIS, I decided it was time to go run.

I hate treadmills. A lot a lot a lot.

I find them pretty boring, but that doesn’t mean everybody does! There is one girl, a fellow runner/ blogger, RUNEMZ who only trains on treadmills. And she’s a complete stud. 3:17 marathoner, actually. She LOVES her treadmill, and hey, that’s awesome! Props to her!

I just don’t do treadmills. It was a good thing Remember the Titans was on TV. Or else I would’ve died.

I was only going to run a 5K on the ‘mill, but then my competitive side kicked in and I ended up doing 5 miles. Feelin’ good!

Everywhere we go...

Everywhere we go…

I hope everyone had a great Saturday!

Run on.
