Daily Wrap-Up

Today (after you last heard from me this morning), we traveled about an hour and a half to Squaw Valley. It is up in the mountains and it is a beautiful town. It hosted the 1960 Winter Olympics!

It was a twisting/ crazy road to get up there. Got really carsick. The view was MAGNIFICENT though of Lake Tahoe. Luckily I got to ride shotgun so I had the best view of everything!

When we FINALLY got to Squaw Valley, we bought our tickets and hopped on a Tram to the top of one of the peaks where there were a few restaurants, a shop, and a museum of the Olympics.

Awkward Moment: When we bought our tickets to get on the Tram, they cost $29 per ticket for adults. The guy selling the tickets to my mom and I ASKED what age I was, I said “18”, and he STILL gave me a child’s ticket. C’mon now. I am older than Taylor (who is still 17) and he got an adult ticket!

Oh well, my mom was happy she didn’t have to pay as much for my ticket. Mine was about $6 cheaper.

Anyways,

The museum was LAME and the restaurants were packed so we decided to head back down. Plus the altitude wasn’t doin’ me any favors.

We went shopping and hung out around the little village part at the bottom of the slopes!

And that was about the extent of my day! It was fun, but I still feel dizzy from the car ride.

Tomorrow is Friday! Have fun everyone!
